Is programme planning. So bring all your ideas for the next semester to the victoria pub, withington for 8pm.

I won’t be there, as I have a polo match, but I’m guessing you’ll be fine without me

If you are coming to the meeting, please bring your scout membership card if you have one, or your membership number if you know it. (you can find your membership number if you can log into the ‘my backpack’ area of scouts.org, or its on the address sheet on scouting magasine. No worries if you don’t have these.

Also, if you don’t have a CRB, please bring documentation necessary and you can fill one in. You need 3 forms of ID, eg driving license, passport, recent bills/bank statements. Further info on what you can bring is on the CRB website, or email me for what you can bring.

See you all the following week for pancake making!

    To get there:
get a 142/143/42/43 etc bus towards withington. Get off in Withington at the Natwest bank, which is just past the library. The pub is just opposite the bank. If you don’t know where you’re going, just give me a call/send me an email for more detailed directions.

    G’Day

it feels like i’ve done this a few times lately, but apologies about the lateness of the email. Exams kinda melted my brain…

Network tomorrow (1st feb) is a county network meeting. Its going to be held at 89th Withington at 8pm. Mark Strickland who is the CSNC, along with hopefully other people from around the county, so it would be good for inter-network relations to have as many people that can make it to come tomorrow. (I’ll be late as usual)

After there is plans to go to subspace, but ask tom/chris/simon about that one, or see the facebook event.

This thursday there is also a county camp planning meeting, to be held at the Victoria, Withington at 8pm.

Next week is programme planning, so get thinking of any ideas you want to do this semester.

Any issues, give me a shout.

    Dani

    To get there:
Catch a 142/42/143 etc. to Withington and get off in the centre of Withington (by the natwest bank). Then walk back towards the library (before the traffic lights, but don’t cross the road), and take the road (Heaton Road) directly opposite (which’ll be on your right hand side, on the corner of the international college). Walk down the road for a few hundred metres, passing over some crossroads, and the hut is on your left.

    Let’s be Scottish for a night…

    23 January, 2010 (13:43) | News | By: Ben

    Hello All,

Hope everyone is well, for those with exams I hope they’re are going well and the revision is not too bad.

    Scottish Man

The original plan this week was to hold a Burn’s night evening, where we got some haggis & tatties and played some “highland games”. We were going to do this ourselves.

However, Will very kindly pointed out that Wetherspoons have a “Burn’s Night week” on. So we’re going to do this instead.

We’ll be going to the Great Central (Wetherspoons), Fallowfield and will meet there at 7.30pm. The haggis meal is £3.99. They also have a selection of fine Scottish whiskey’s to tickle your taste buds.

After talking to some of the Network this seems the more preferable option, as it allow those studying for exams to drop in when they like, is nearer to home and if you don’t like haggis you can eat something else.

So come along (even if you can only drop in for an hour for a coke) and become Scottish for a night – kilts & bagpipes optional.

    See you Monday,

    Ben

    G’Day

apologies for the very late email, I forgot everything about it. As its exams and stuff, and most people are just getting back to manchester after christmas, its just going to be a social thing.

Meeting at the victoria in withington at 8 for some exam escapism and chilling out. I may or may not be there, depending on how my day goes.

Next week ben is organising it (that still ok ben) and then the week after is county network meeting and then the week after will be programme planning, so if you have any ideas while procrastinating revision, jot them down on the forums.

Also – this is important, if you haven’t already, please reply to james (on james AT mansouthnetwork.org.uk) with your info about census/capitation as its important we get numbers and stuff in asap. If you have any questions regarding this, email james or post on the forums.

    the countdown to Christmas

    8 December, 2009 (13:23) | News | By: Dani

    G’Day

This Friday we have bag packing at Sainsburys Fallowfield, which will be from 7:30-9:30. Its as part of the district to raise funds for leader training, but we also get money as a group, which will help pay for membership fees and other stuff depending on how much we get.

We get a proportion of all money raised, so the more man hours we can put in, the more money we get. So please if you are free try and come down, even if it is only for half an hour! Please wear uniform if you have it, or hoodie/necker if you don’t.
Matt – you can have my hoodie and necker.

Next week, the final money of term is just going to be a pub social, as a few of us have deadlines and stuff. It will be a bit of  chance to chill as well before Christmas. Its going to be at the Victoria in Withington at 8pm.

Also, I’m going out for my birthday next friday (18th Dec) and you’re welcome to come along. We’re meeting in fake font (the one in fallowfield) at 9ish, with plans tohead to 5th ave. There is an event on facebook if you want to join.
