    Hey folks,

I hope summer is treating all well. I think this is the first e-mail sent since most results, can I take the opportunity to congratulate all those who have exams particularly those who had finals and on your (impending) graduation.

We should be meeting at Parrswood at 8p.m. Don’t forget to bring some £11 worth of pennies for the lovely bowling people to get 2 games and have a fun evening. I shall see whoever turns up there!

The MAD master plan and Network next week: MAD Monday

    23 June, 2010 (10:41) | News | By: Simon

    Hey hey folks,

Hope all is keeping well and those with results coming in are being suitably delighted/not too dissapointed.

The MAD master plan is as follows:

    Transport there:

Please make your own way there. Book your own tickets etc. The station you want to go to is Laindon could people please inform Dani as to what time you will be getting there so she can organise a lift from the station to MAD (dani@mansouthnetwork.org.uk) for those who don’t have a phone number or e-mail, please do this ASAP.

    Once there:

Tents: PLEASE CHECK THE FORUMS! If you have not got a tent we can get you one but we need to know. If you have nowhere to sleep please make a really big noise about it to Dani via email and she will find you somewhere to put your sleepy head.

Fun: Have lots of it Friday through Sunday.

    Getting home:

The nice B&B is open for buisiness once again. (Please don’t forget to say thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Nice for having us and letting a load of Networkers take over all their floorspace and the 5 star feeding). You will then catch your trains / drive home safely as nessecary on the Monday.

Those who are going for trains on the Sunday please once again let Dani know and we shall sort out a way of getting you to the station on time. (There is a shuttle service running but they need numbers etc)

    MAD Monday:

There will be a post camp meal somewhere in Manchester on the Monday following MAD. This will be planned as late as MAD monday itself and someone will let you know what’s happening and what time to meet and where, though not I as I’m in France.

     Hi folks,

Hope all is well in the land of post exams, and for the many people who were/are (at time of sending) at EXPO I hope you all had a good time and are recovered and ready for our little annual network shin dig in Essex!

    Network this week:

This week we are costume making for MAD this will be at 89th. If we can turn up at about 7.00 (don’t worry if you’ll be a little late) that would be very useful as we don’t have a definitive idea of what we want to be doing (information correct at time of sending). It would also be greatly appreciated if people could turn up with whatever materials/ craftyness they would be willing to donate to the cause. Posting it up on the forum may be useful to prevent the 99 rolls of sellotape.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, your Network needs you… to contribute your MAD costume ideas and making skills on Monday!

    Network next week:

How many times can I get MAD into the next paragraph?

Next week we are at MAD whoop whoop! A swift reminder from Dani that transport to MAD is an almighty free for all (in other words you make your own way there) and could you let her know if tent space is required so as to ensure sleeping arrangements for all. Could we also say thank you Dani for being organised and organising everyone else for MAD? After MAD will be MAD Monday involving a meal arranged by those returning from MAD to Manchester, details to follow. A full grand master plan for MAD will appear next week.

Hope we’re all enjoying the sun,

    Simon

    Good afternoon folks,

Apologies for last week, hope the message got through and was understood. It seems that it is a crime at the moment to do anything without mentioning the (football) World Cup so there it is I’ve done it.

On the bright side it is however June 10th therefore it is safe to say exams are over! Woop woop!

    Network this week:

As most of our lovely memebers, being part of SSAGO as well, are at expo and so near Birmingham instead of Manchester we will be down on numbers. We plan on meeting at a pub at around 8p.m. (suggest the Fletcher Moss in Disdbury) and having a fairly relaxed chill out talking about whatever we want. We may even (depenant on how ‘way out and wacky’ we’re feeling) decide to move to another pub or do something different from there on in, the suspense is already killing me!!!

    Network next week:

There is a tour for the special few who can afford/ were organised enough to put their names on the list around the BBC Manchester building studio thingys. Should be good (many thanks to Tom for organising). Those guys know who they are. They will then be joined later at 89th by the rest of us at around 8.pm. where we will be building our brilliant costumes for MAD, what with, and what to build will be worked out between now and then…

    Many thanks,

    Simon

P.S. I’m never going to miss up on an opportunity to laugh at an American politican so here’s the latest story http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/10245043.stm enjoy.
