What is Manchester South Network?
Network is the final section in the Scout Association and provides scouting to all members aged between 18 & 25.
Network is designed to be flexible and fit in with your life and commitments, as such you can attend as many or as few events as you like.
Manchester South Network was set up in early 2008 to provide a Network unit for all those in the Manchester South District. We attempt to meet weekly for a variety of evenings & activities, as well as attending camps & other events. Please take a look at the programme for an idea of what we get up to!
Manchester South Network covers a large area of the city of Manchester (map below) from the southern edges of the city in the north down to the Airport in the South. We cover the following areas;
- Hulme, Moss Side and Rusholme
- Whalley Range, Fallowfield and Withington
- Burnage, Didsbury and Chorlton,
- Northenden and Northern Moor
- Benchill, Baguley, Wythenshawe and Woodhouse Park
Manchester South Network also covers the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. We are the closest Scout Network to both universities and we cover the vast majority of student accommodation.
Membership is open to anyone between the ages of 18 - 25.
